On March 21, 2012, Perak Forestry Department has organized the World Forestry Day Celebration National Level 41st at Eco-Education Center Forest Matang Taiping, Perak with the theme "Forests for People's Welfare" and will be officiated by YAB Dato 'Royal Seri Dr. Zambry Bin Abd. Kadir, Chief Minister of Perak.
World Forestry Day 41st National Level with the theme "Forests for People's Welfare 'was held on 21 March 2012 at the Eco-Education Center Forest Matang, Kuala Sepetang, Taiping, Perak. The opening ceremony officiated by YAB Dato 'Seri Dr. Royal Zambry bin Abd. Kadir, Chief Minister of Perak. The ceremony was attended by the Hon. Dato 'Dr. Mohd Ali bin Mohamad Nor, Deputy Secretary General I, Hon. Dato 'Dr. Che Ab Rahim bin Nik, Deputy Secretary II, Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, and the Hon. Dato 'Dr. Hj. Abd. Rahman bin Hj. Abdul Rahim, Director General of Forestry Peninsular Malaysia, Hon. Dato 'Masran B. Md. Salleh, Deputy Director General of Forestry Peninsular Malaysia (Policy and Planning) and Tn.Hj. Roslan bin Ariffin, Director of the State Forestry Perak.Turut present were representatives from the departments and agencies, NGOs, the private sector, students and the local community. Perak Chief Minister also expressed appreciation in his speech to the Forestry Department of Peninsular Malaysia and Perak Forestry Department for their hard work in organizing this event.
Calculation countdown to 24 million trees under 26 Million Tree Planting Campaign is a symbolic launch ceremony this time accompanied by the launch of herbs called 'Treasures Herbs Perak. The celebration continued with a visit to the exhibition site by YAB Dato 'Seri Dr. Royal Zambry bin Abd. Kadir, Chief Minister of Perak. Peak response at this time to continue with Merbau tree planting ceremony Ipil (Intsia bijuga) as a tree to 24 million trees were planted. Mangrove tree planting ceremony was also attended by Hon. Dato 'Dr. Hj. Abd. Rahman bin Hj. Abdul Rahim, Director General of Forestry Peninsular Malaysia together with other invited dignitaries and students. Coincident with the response at this time, the Young Leaders Camp Air Care involving 100 secondary school students from all over Peninsular Malaysia was held from 20 to 24 March 2012 as a platform for community participation.
